From Lisbon airport, take a direct subway red line train to “Gare do Oriente” (frequency: every 10min, it takes 5min). Once at Gare do Oriente, take a direct train (Alfa Pendular or Intercidades ) to Coimbra (journey: approx 1h40min).
Get off at Coimbra B (the main railway station) and with the same ticket change to go to Coimbra A station. From there, many hotels are within walking distance. Alternatively, you can get off at Coimbra B station and take a taxi to your hotel.

From Porto/Oporto airport take the metro line E to Campanhã Rail Terminal (journey is approx. 33 min). For this journey buy a Z4 ticket (4 zones). From Campanhã, take a direct train (Alfa Pendular or Intercidades ) to Coimbra. (journey is approx. 1hr)
Get off at Coimbra B (the main railway station) and with the same ticket change to go to Coimbra A station. From there, many hotels are within walking distance.
