Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the European Board of Medical Assessors (EBMA), it is my great pleasure to invite you to our annual meeting in Plymouth, United Kingdom from April 11th - 13th 2024. The conference theme is “The future of assessment in medical education: opportunities and threats”.

Keynote presentations will be given by Kent Hecker “Exploring the intersection of cognitive neuroscience and assessment”, Adrian Marty “Bringing CBME to life – assessment is key” and Desirée Joosten-ten Brinke “Designing a plan for assessment for learning“. The programme will consist of short symposia, workshops, oral and poster presentations drawn from abstracts submitted by conference attendees.

There will be ample opportunities to network with international colleagues, not least at the conference dinner which will be held in the National Marine Aquarium, a short walk from Plymouth’s historic centre and the conference venue at the University of Plymouth campus.

We look forward to meeting you soon!

On behalf of the EBMA board
