Prof. Filipa Kendall, Specialist Physiotherapist at Cardiothoracic Surgery Department of the Local Unity of Health of São João, Porto, Portugal, where she is the Coordinator of the Physiotherapist team, and the Coordinator of the Reference Centers of Congenital Heart Disease and Heart Transplantation. In parallel she has an academic career as an Associate Professor of Physiotherapy at Northern Polytechnic Health Institute, Gandra, Portugal and Researcher at Laboratory for Integrative and Translational Research in Population Health/ Research Centre for Physical Activity and, Heath and Leisure (ITR/CIAFEL) since 2018. Her research interest field and scientific production are related to cardiorespiratory physiotherapy applied in surgical patients, particularly pulmonary surgery. Currently she is the principal investigator of a project financed by COMPETE2030-FEDER – Fit4LungNeo. Filipa is also a member of the Board of the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Interest Group (GIFCR) of the Portuguese Association of Physiotherapists (APF), as well as team leader of the investigation of GIFCR.
