Elisabetta Renzoni is a Consultant Physician in the Interstitial Lung Disease Unit at the Royal Brompton Hospital. Her clinical expertise encompasses connective tissue disease- associated ILD, idiopathic interstitial pneumonias, sarcoidosis, and hypersensitivity pneumonitis.

Her research focuses on improving the understanding and management of ILD through investigator-led studies and clinical trials. Key areas of interest include the prognostic significance of lung function, bronchoalveolar lavage, and CT imaging across different ILD subtypes, as well as the evaluation of non-pharmacological interventions for patients with ILD.

Professor Renzoni has authored more than 240 peer-reviewed publications and serves on numerous editorial boards and international guideline committees. In recognition of her contributions to the field of ILD, she received the 2025 European Respiratory Society (ERS) Assembly 12 Lifetime Achievement Award.
