Dr. Judson has been involved with the clinical care of sarcoidosis patients and clinical research
concerning sarcoidosis for more than 30 years. He established a clinical sarcoidosis center decades ago
at the Medical University of South Carolina and directed one of the largest sarcoidosis clinics in the
United States. He was a site PI for the NIH ACCESS study in the late 1990’s – 2000 and the site PI for the
NIH SAGA study in the early 2000’s. He was a member of the WASOG Executive Committee for 6 years.
He has published more than 200 sarcoidosis manuscripts in the medical literature and has conducted
more than 50 sarcoidosis clinical trials. He enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, and cycling.
