Marco Sebastiani is an associate professor of rheumatology at the university of Parma, working at
the rheumatology unit of the Piacenza Hospital.
For many years, his primary field of research has been the pulmonary involvement in systemic
autoimmune diseases. In particular, he is interested to the lung involvement in rheumatoid
arthritis and Sjögren's disease, other than to the characteristics of acute exacerbation of ILD in
rheumatologic patients.
He is the head of the steering committee of the Italian Society of Rheumatology group on the
lung involvement in rheumatic diseases, and a member of the steering committee of the EULAR
taskforce on the lung involvement in rheumatic diseases.
