Maria Kokosi is a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Brompton Hospital, with a specialist interest in interstitial lung diseases (ILD). Her training in ILD began in Greece in 2010, followed by further experience in the United States, and has continued at the Royal Brompton since 2012.
She leads the Rare Lung Disease Service, managing patients with conditions including LAM, pulmonary Langerhans cell histiocytosis, Birt Hogg Dubé syndrome, pulmonary alveolar proteinosis, and other rare disorders.
She is a member of the European Respiratory Society HERMES Adult Examination Committee and has previously served as an Associate Editor for ERJ Open Research. She is also co-lead of the UK national registry and biobank for rare cystic lung diseases.
Her main interest lies in clinical research, and she has been an investigator in several clinical trials in the field of interstitial and rare lung diseases.
