Sara Ribeiro graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto, Portugal. She holds a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology from University College London (UCL), United Kingdom.

She is currently an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Porto and a Consultant Endocrinologist at Unidade Local de Saúde de São João, Porto, Portugal. Her main clinical and research interests include adrenal disorders, calcium and bone metabolism, diabetes technology, and transgender medicine.
